Amy Hack

company 2014

Hailing from Melbourne, Amy's romance with the performing arts began at a young age. Before moving to Sydney, Amy trained with the St Martins Performers Ensemble and completed full-time dance at Patrick Studios. Whilst studying a Philosophy degree at Melbourne University, Amy performed in Patricia Cornelius “Taxi” directed by Susie Dee, Magnormos Productions “Milk and Honey” directed by Avigail Herman, and “Tuesday” - an original piece for MKA at the MTC, among others.
Participating in Dean Carey's verbatim theatre piece, “Stories from the INside Out”, was the most memorable experience for Amy at drama school. The chance to develop a friendship and explore the character of Danielle, an exuberant transgendered woman, was unforgettable.
In addition to performing, in the near future Amy aspires to pursue her passion for writing and devising theatre, with an eagerness to help create more bridges between different creative mediums, especially those between dance and theatre
