Dean is the CEO, Founding Director and inspiration behind Actors Centre Australia (ACA) which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2017. He is the author of five acting books: his most recent book, The Acting Edge, was launched by Hugh Jackman in 2012 along with his Acting Edge online program and App.

Dean has taught acting for more than three decades in many countries, including the U.S., the U.K., Russia, France, Brazil, Singapore, Indonesia, New Zealand and Australia-wide. He has been Head of Acting at WAAPA (Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts) as well as NIDA (The National Institute of Dramatic Art). He works as a performance consultant on TV and film projects, including the Australian productions of The Boy From Oz and Saturday Night Fever. Dean teaches in the corporate arena, is guest speaker at seminars and functions as well as conceives and directs corporate launches and theatrical events across Sydney.

As an entrepreneur and business owner for more than 3 decades, Dean’s passionate pursuit of transformational education and performance motivates and guides all he does. ACA’s full-time program is seen by many in the industry as the benchmark vocational career training program in Australia.

Dean coaches executives, speakers and actors across Australia and the world and his corporate clients include: Google, Christian Dior, Fitness First, Caltex, Fuji-Zerox, Altus Q, THINK, NRL, NSW Institute of Sport, Dreamworld and St George amongst many more. His newest work, The Artist’s M.A.P., will be published worldwide in September of this year.

This new work will be the first enquiry into the MANAGER/ARTIST/PERSON relationship and synergy which aims to distinguish and transform the way artists think and conduct their careers.
